About Me

Hello! My name is Carlye and I'm the photographer and graphic artist of Birch & Willow Photography and Design. I live in rural Rocky View County close to Cremona and Cochrane, Alberta (about 45 minutes from Calgary). I am an alumni of the Alberta College of Art and Design where I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography. While I was still in school, I started working as a professional photographer with contracts for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Alberta Education. I produced projects for other big clients such as Telus, Syncrude, and Enbridge when I worked in the digital design industry. Since then I have moved on to other pursuits, but I have always maintained a photography and design connection. Recently, my love of kids and photography has become the perfect blend for child and family photography!
